We are looking for an emerging director or/and directing producer with experience of studio recordings with up to 10 non-actors at the same time.
The project is set to be launched on a big YouTube channel in the Nordics and the topics will be: stereotypes and clichés among different groups within the Nordic countries. A norm breaking project that speaks to how we all perceive the world differently depending on how we identify as individuals.
We hope to work with a team that can bring unique perspectives into the project, since diversity will be essential for the production and the storytelling.
The client: We can't disclose the brand at this point of the process but can promise you an exciting project within an interesting part of progressive pop culture and media.
Language: The shoot will be en english, so working well in english is essential. But understanding of Nordic culture/-s is also important since that will be the key topic of discussion.
Timings: The shoot is planned to happen some time in the end of October, and we will request a treatment POV from the director around the 24th of October.
Process: We are planning to ask up to 3 directors to give us their POV and treatment in order to find the right director with the right perception and ideas around the task. The visual style will be considered as well as personal & professional values to match the culture of the brand we are working with.
Team set up: Creative Director (F&B), Executive Producer (F&B), Director/directing producer, editorial show writer, casting team, photographers, sound, 1st editor, social video editor, graphic designer.
Preliminary key dates:
Aug 24 – Send out brief and request for treatment to director/production company
Sep 14 – Treatment received, reviewed
Sep 18 – Director and production team announced
Sep 21 – Casting start
Oct 5 – Editorial development start
Oct 26 – 3day shoot starts
Nov 2 – Editing starts
Dec 4 – Full delivery of 4ep + social assets
